    Mistaya Canyon
    A short ten-minute trail leads to the canyon, where visitors can see the waters of the Mistaya River which have delicately sculpted this gorge, leaving many circular "potholes" in the canyon walls.

    Rat's Nest Cave
    Discovered in 1858, Rat’s Nest Cave is a primitive cave located beneath Grotto Mountain. Carved by ancient melt waters, the cave is a 4 km long system of chambers, underground pools, and rock formations. Guided wild cave tours are available.

    Red Rock Canyon
    Red Rock Canyon attracts countless visitors primarilly with its natural beauty. Striking layers of green and red bedrock combine with the lush greens of the surrounding vegetation to create a marvel of nature. Visitors can enjoy a self-guided hike of the canyon or venture to nearby Blakison Falls. Red Rock Canyon is located 17 km (10 mi) northwest of the Waterton townsite.

    Castleguard Cave
    At 20 km (12.4 mi) of explored passages, Castleguard Cave is the largest in Canada. It is a limestone cave filled with unique cave features including long passages, stalactites, cubic cave pearls and invertebrate animals. The cave ends in a series of ice plugs pushed into the passaged from the icefield above. Because the cave often floods during the summer, this spot is best explored during the winter. Permission to enter this cave is required from Parks Canada.

    Cadomin Caves
    The Cadomin Caves is a multi-chamber cave system that stretches 2,791 m (9,150 ft) in length. It is located in Whitehorse Wildlands Provincial Park, about 75 minutes from the small town of Edson. While exploration and caving is allowed, the cave remains wild and proper equipment and experience is necessary. The caves are a bat habitat and are thus closed from September to April.

    Johnston Canyon
    Follow the self-guided interpretative trail along Johnston Creek for views of water erosion in action. A 5.6 km (3.5 mi) walk will take you to the Ink Pots. Six cool springs bubble out of the ground year-round. The glacial sediments in the springs create beautiful aqua colours.
    Address: 26 km (16.25 mi) W of Banff on Hwy 1A.
