Castleguard Cave At 20 km (12.4 mi) of explored passages, Castleguard Cave is the largest in Canada. It is a limestone cave filled with unique cave features including long passages, stalactites, cubic cave pearls and invertebrate animals. The cave ends in a series of ice plugs pushed into the passaged from the icefield above. Because the cave often floods during the summer, this spot is best explored during the winter. Cadomin Caves The Cadomin Caves is a multi-chamber cave system that stretches 2,791 m (9,150 ft) in length. It is located in Whitehorse Wildlands Provincial Park, about 75 minutes from the small town of Edson. While exploration and caving is allowed, the cave remains wild and proper equipment and experience is necessary. The caves are a bat habitat and are thus closed from September to April. Johnston Canyon Follow the self-guided interpretative trail along Johnston Creek for views of water erosion in action. A 5.6 km (3.5 mi) walk will take you to the Ink Pots. Six cool springs bubble out of the ground year-round. The glacial sediments in the springs create beautiful aqua colours. Address: 26 km (16.25 mi) W of Banff on Hwy 1A.
