Housed in the historic Cascade dance hall on Banff Avenue, the Stratus Gallery marks an evolution in the mountain art experience. Modern works in a variety of media produced by regional artists are central to the exhibition mandate of the gallery -- from representational landscapes in oil to figurative encaustics and abstract works in resin. The Quest Gallery
Established in 1958, the gallery has Inuit sculpture collections of master carvers as well as emerging young master carvers. In Native Indian sculptures, they have collections from well-known Iroquois Six-Nations carvers Ben Henry and his three sons, Vince Bomberry and distinguished potter Steven Smith.
